I would like to arrange visits to a school, hospital or government institution to support my course. What should I do?
The Academic Services department is happy to assist with arrangements for educational visits. The department can liaise with local public services and visits can often be arranged. However, please remember that organisations of this kind are very busy and need to consider the welfare and security of the community they serve. It is therefore very helpful if you provide as much notice as possible of your plans. You can discuss arrangements with Jan Beckett.
I would like to arrange a field trip to a place of interest to support my course. What should I do?
Once again, Academic Services will be happy to help with arrangements. Members of the department know what has worked well in the past, are familiar with places of interest in the area and are willing to make suggestions and offer advice. If you have a venue or location in mind, we can provide you with information about availability and prices. If you are seeking ideas for a particular academic trip, we can tell you about possible destinations.
