Why Travel?

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.” – Mark Twain

Grasmere, Lake District UKMark Twain was correct.  Indeed, travel is all that and much more.  One of the goals of study abroad is to prepare you to be more effective, respectful of other cultures, and to better understand your own culture and values.  Travel has a lasting impact on world view, self-confidence, and maturity.  This experience will be life-transforming, as the Harlaxton Experience will continue to influence your lives long after your time with us.

At Harlaxton College, we believe in the importance of travel. Incorporating travel experience and academic work supports our belief that we are “Learning: All Together”.

Read for yourself why some of our students travel. We have published a few student blogs created just for their travel adventures.
